Imphal, Sep 13: The Assam Rifles organised a felicitation ceremony to honour four newly commissioned young officers, celebrating their entry into a life dedicated to service and the nation.

The ceremony was attended by the Inspector General, Assam Rifles (South), who felicitated the newly commissioned officers and their parents. The occasion recognised not only the officers’ achievement but also the steadfast support and sacrifices of their families throughout their journey.
Addressing the gathering, the Inspector General encouraged the young officers to uphold the highest traditions and values of the Assam Rifles, while carrying out their responsibilities with courage, integrity, discipline and unwavering devotion to duty.
The event was attended by all Sector Commanders of IGAR (South), troops and officials, reflecting the strong sense of camaraderie and family spirit that binds the Assam Rifles fraternity.
The presence of the officers’ parents added a special significance to the occasion, acknowledging their role in nurturing and supporting the young leaders through the demanding journey towards commissioning.
The ceremony also served as an opportunity for the Force to celebrate its tradition of unity, professionalism and service before self, as the newly commissioned officers formally begin their careers.
