Srinagar, July 7: The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Secretariat has made it mandatory for all officers, officials and staff members to mark their attendance through the Facial Recognition Attendance System (FRAS) at both the time of arrival and departure during notified office hours.
According to an official circular, the decision follows observations that several employees were not marking their attendance at both entry and exit as required.
The Secretariat has directed all employees to register their attendance through the FRAS immediately upon reporting for duty and again before leaving the office.
The circular warns that any employee failing to mark attendance at both 9:30 am (arrival) and 5:30 pm (departure) will be treated as absent for the day.
It further states that salary for such day(s) will neither be released nor drawn, with the Competent Authority directing strict compliance with the attendance protocol with immediate effect.
