
In an impressive display of skill and determination, two young judokas from district Ganderbal, Aisha Hassan and Rafushiya Rashid, clinched silver and bronze medals, respectively, at the Sub-Junior National Judo Championship 2024-2025 held in Pune.
Both Aisha and Rafushiya are trainees at the Khelo India Judo Centre, Ganderbal, where they are coached by Mr. Rahil Shafi, a qualified Judo coach and International Judo medalist.
Their remarkable achievement has brought pride to the state/UT of Jammu and Kashmir, and the Khelo India Judo Centre, Ganderbal, which has been producing talented judokas in recent years.
"Over the last two years, the Khelo India Judo Centre, Ganderbal, has proudly produced seventeen (17) national medalists," under the coaching of Mr. Rahil Shafi.
Aisha Hassan the 12 years old kid, and Rafushiya Rashid 13 years old kid have been training under Mr. Rahil Shafi's guidance for the last three years and have shown consistent improvement in their skills.
Their victory is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the athletes, their coach, and the J&K Sports Council.
