GOC Spear Corps reviews aviation unit readiness

Tengnoupal , June 17: The General Officer Commanding (GOC) Spear Corps visited a frontline Aviation Unit and reviewed its operational preparedness, focusing on mission readiness and the capability to provide uninterrupted support to troops deployed in remote and difficult terrain.

During the visit, the GOC was briefed on the unit’s operational framework, maintenance protocols, and ongoing measures to ensure round-the-clock aviation support for field formations operating in challenging areas. He also assessed key aspects related to logistics coordination, responsiveness, and safety mechanisms in high-risk operational environments.
The review included a detailed evaluation of the unit’s preparedness for emergency deployments, casualty evacuation support, and sustained aerial connectivity in regions with limited accessibility. Emphasis was placed on ensuring seamless integration between aviation assets and ground formations to enhance overall operational effectiveness.
The GOC commended the personnel for their professionalism, technical proficiency, and high level of mission readiness. He particularly appreciated the unit’s unwavering commitment to flight safety standards, which he described as critical to maintaining operational efficiency in sensitive and demanding conditions.
He also encouraged all ranks to continue maintaining high standards of discipline, vigilance, and coordination to meet emerging operational challenges.
The visit underscored the Indian Army’s continued focus on strengthening aviation support capabilities and ensuring swift, reliable, and safe mobility for troops operating in remote and strategically important areas under the Spear Corps area of responsibility.
