Imphal, April 12: Lieutenant General Abhijit S Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding of Spear Corps, conducted a detailed review of the operational preparedness of the elite Bhairav Battalion.

During the visit, the GOC assessed the unit’s readiness levels, training standards, and operational capabilities in varied terrain conditions. He interacted with troops on the ground, taking stock of their preparedness and motivation in handling assigned operational tasks.
Lt Gen Pendharkar commended all ranks of the Bhairav Battalion for their high degree of professionalism, discipline, and unwavering commitment to operational excellence. He appreciated their role in maintaining a high state of alertness and effectiveness in a sensitive operational environment.
He also emphasised the importance of continuous training, adaptability, and teamwork to meet evolving security challenges. Stressing operational synergy, he urged the troops to maintain peak readiness and uphold the highest standards of military conduct.
The visit served as a morale booster for the battalion, reinforcing the Army leadership’s focus on combat readiness and operational efficiency across all formations under Spear Corps.
