GoC SpearCorps greets Phom community on Phom Day

Dimapur, June 6: On the occasion of Phom Day, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Spear Corps and all Spear Warriors extended warm greetings and best wishes to the Phom community of Nagaland, marking the celebration with a message of goodwill and unity.

Phom Day is observed by the Phom Naga community to celebrate their cultural heritage, traditions and collective identity. The day is marked with community gatherings, cultural performances, traditional rituals and events showcasing the rich customs of the Phom tribe.
In their message, Spear Corps conveyed wishes for peace, prosperity and happiness for the community, highlighting the spirit of harmony and mutual respect between the armed forces and local populations in the region.
The greeting reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen civil-military relations and acknowledge the cultural significance of indigenous communities in Nagaland.
The occasion was described as an opportunity to reinforce bonds of trust, cooperation and shared commitment to peace and development in the Northeast region.
