Rangapahar, July 26: On the 27th anniversary of India’s victory in the Kargil War, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) Spear Corps, along with senior veterans, paid heartfelt tribute to the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.

A wreath-laying ceremony was held at the War Memorial, Rangapahar Military Station, where GOC Spear Corps, Lt Col Imti Maken (Retd), and Kargil War hero Hony Capt Imli Akum, MVC (Retd) honoured the valour and sacrifice of Indian Army personnel.
The ceremony served as a solemn reminder of the courage, dedication and unwavering commitment displayed by the soldiers during the 1999 Kargil conflict. Veterans and serving personnel remembered the heroes whose sacrifices safeguarded the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The gathering reaffirmed the Army’s commitment to preserving the legacy of the Kargil warriors and inspiring future generations with their spirit of courage and patriotism.
