Kohima, Jan 29: Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding of Spear Corps, visited the Headquarters IGAR (North) in Kohima, Nagaland, to assess the security situation and operational preparedness of the formation.

During his visit, the Corps Commander received detailed briefings on ongoing operations, threat assessments, and measures taken to maintain high operational readiness in the region. He interacted with officers and troops, emphasizing the importance of vigilance, adaptability, and professional excellence in ensuring the security of the area of responsibility.
Lt Gen Pendharkar also inaugurated a state-of-the-art Communication Complex and a Training Laboratory, designed to enhance the Corps’ operational efficiency, technological integration, and training capabilities. These facilities aim to strengthen communication networks, support rapid decision-making, and provide hands-on training for personnel in modern warfare techniques.
Commending the officers and troops, the Corps Commander highlighted their exemplary contribution to operational capability and lauded their commitment, discipline, and dedication to national security. He stressed the need for continuous skill development, inter-unit coordination, and leveraging advanced technology to stay ahead of emerging challenges.
The visit reaffirmed the Corps’ focus on maintaining a high state of readiness, improving operational infrastructure, and boosting troop morale, reinforcing Spear Corps’ commitment to safeguarding the strategic interests of the nation.
