GoC White Knight Corps reviews security readiness in Poonch

Poonch, Aug 24,: Lieutenant General P. K. Mishra, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, SM, General Officer Commanding (GOC), White Knight Corps, accompanied by the GOC, Ace of Spades Division, visited forward areas in the Poonch Sector to review the operational preparedness of the formations and units deployed in the region and assess the prevailing security situation.

During the visit, the Corps Commander undertook a detailed assessment of the operational readiness of troops deployed in the forward areas and reviewed the security dynamics along the sector. He was briefed by commanders on the prevailing situation, operational preparedness, deployment measures and the steps being undertaken to effectively meet emerging security challenges.
The Corps Commander also interacted with troops deployed in the forward areas and various stakeholders involved in maintaining security and operational preparedness. He took stock of the challenges being faced on the ground and emphasised the need for close coordination, constant situational awareness and a proactive approach towards maintaining security in the strategically important Poonch Sector.
Lieutenant General P. K. Mishra commended the troops for their high morale, professionalism, dedication and operational alertness. He appreciated their commitment to duty and the manner in which they continue to remain prepared to respond to evolving security situations.
The Corps Commander stressed that maintaining a high degree of operational preparedness and vigilance remains essential, particularly in view of the evolving security environment. He called upon commanders and troops to continuously enhance their operational capabilities, maintain the highest standards of readiness and remain alert to emerging threats and challenges.
He further underscored the importance of maintaining strong coordination among all stakeholders and ensuring that operational preparedness remains robust at all times. The troops were encouraged to continue discharging their responsibilities with determination, professionalism and the highest standards of commitment.
The visit provided an opportunity for the senior military leadership to directly assess the preparedness of troops deployed in the forward areas and reaffirmed the Indian Army's continued focus on maintaining a strong, vigilant and responsive security posture in the Poonch Sector.
The visit also reaffirmed the commitment of the White Knight Corps towards maintaining robust operational readiness, strengthening security mechanisms and ensuring the safety and security of the region while remaining fully prepared to meet any emerging operational challenge
