
Srinagar, Aug 3 : The Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted a Technical Appraisal Committee (TAC) for the project "Establishment of Disaster Recovery Centre (Outside J&K Seismic Zone)".
An official said that the committee has been set up in terms of S.O 227 of 2021 and S.O. 154 of 2026 issued by the Finance Department.
The TAC will comprise the Chief Executive Officer, JaKeGA, as Chairperson, with State Informatics Officer NIC J&K, Director In-Charge NIELIT J&K, a representative from IIT Jammu to be nominated by the Director, IIT Jammu, and a representative from NIT Srinagar to be nominated by the Director, NIT Srinagar as members.
Under Secretary, Information Technology Department, will serve as Member-Convener of the panel.
The Committee has been tasked with examining and vetting the project specifications covering technical, financial, administrative, legal and operational aspects. It will assess whether the objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines and outcomes are clearly defined and aligned with the approved policy framework.
It will also scrutinize the technical architecture, design parameters, standards, interoperability, scalability, security provisions and sustainability aspects proposed in the DPR to ensure adherence to government norms.
The Member-Convener will coordinate with all members for timely meetings and appraisal of documents. The Committee has been directed to submit its report to the Information Technology Department within 45 days from the date of issuance of the order.
