As Kashmir emerges from the shadow of COVID and enters a new era of peace & development, a mega cultural extravaganza is being organized at Gulmarg from 06 to 08 Feb 21. The snow clads mountains of Gulmarg have always been a major tourist attraction, and Indian Army along with J&K Tourism Department have come together to provide a platform to the local youths to showcase their talents.
The two days extravaganza would include adventure activities such as skiing, snow mobile & ATV race as also snow cycling & other such activities. Cultural performances by renowned artists of Kashmir would be another draw for the tourists. The other highlights would be promotion of local cuisines & handicrafts.
Bollywood has come together in this endeavor & Mr. Arbaaz Khan along with Ms Vidya Balan would be in attendance to inspire the local talents. Other notable artists performing in the event include Altmash Faridi, Aabid Aly, Shafi Sopori, Zubair Khan, Waseem Ahmed & Umer Rockband.
The event is being organized after two years & is a great way to announce the re-opening of Kashmir to the world. Indian Army has always maintained a great connect with the local people & this is yet another instance of Army supporting the aspirations of Awaam for a future of hope, prosperity & peace in the valley. The event is likely to provide a fillip to the tourism in the valley & support the Kashmiri people whose livelihood has been impacted adversely due to COVID pandemic.
