Gunners motivate youth in Assam

Tinsukia, Mar 16: Ao Gunners under SpearCorps recently conducted a motivational outreach programme at Panitola, Assam, aimed at inspiring and guiding the youth from surrounding villages. Over 200 students from Tinsukia and Dibrugarh districts participated in the event, which focused on instilling discipline, physical fitness, and awareness of career opportunities in the defence forces.

The programme included interactive sessions where personnel shared their experiences, highlighted the values of perseverance and teamwork, and explained the diverse roles and avenues available in the Indian Armed Forces. Students were also introduced to basic fitness routines, drills, and exercises to emphasize the importance of physical health in building a career in defence.
Officials from SpearCorps noted that such initiatives are designed to nurture leadership qualities, instill a sense of responsibility, and motivate young people to consider serving the nation. Local school teachers and community leaders praised the programme, observing that it provided a valuable platform for students to learn about discipline, career planning, and personal development.
The outreach is part of the ongoing efforts by the Indian Army to engage with local communities, encourage youth participation in national service, and foster awareness about opportunities in defence careers across the Northeast region.
