
A 13-year-old boy died on Saturday while playing cricket in his native village of Takiya Batapora in Kunzer area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Shahzaib Muzaffar Shah, a Class 7 student and son of Muzaffar Shah, was struck on the neck by a cricket ball during a game, leaving him unconscious.
He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital and later transferred to JVC Srinagar, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Meanwhile, an official also confirmed the death and said that police have taken cognizance of the matter.
