On 15th August 2022 anniversary of 75 years of independence was celebrated in 75 Battalion CRPF Srinagar with full vigor, joy and enthusiasm. Celebration started with K K Pandey commandant 75 Battalion hoisted the National flag and gave National Salute at the quarter guard. On the occasion of this national festival, Pandey extended his best wishes to all the officers and jawans present and said that it is a matter of great honor and pride for us that this year we are witnessing the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav being celebrated all over India. Pandey said that I bow with full devotion to those freedom fighters whose tireless efforts and sacrifices made India free from the shackles of slavery and due to which we are able to breathe peacefully in the open environment. At the same time, I also pay my heartfelt salute to those brave hearts who sacrificed their lives to keep the unity and integrity of India intact. Pandey further said that after observing the last 75 years we find that our country has achieved a high position in the world despite going through various ups and downs and our National Flag has a pride in the world. Since independence, our country has progressed in various fields, whether it is in the field of agriculture, in the field of science and technology, in the field of trade, sports, and has made a high position in the world. Shri Pandey in his address said that the important responsibility of the internal security of the country rests on the strong shoulders of the Central Reserve Police Force, which our brave soldiers are performing with utmost vigilance, dutifulness, indomitable courage and I hope that in the coming time you will fulfill this responsibility with all sincerity. At the same time, Shri Pandey said that I am very happy to inform that on the occasion of Independence Day 2022, total 110 medals including 01 Shaurya Chakra and 109 PMG (Police Medal for Gallantry) have been awarded to Central Reserve Police Force for bravery. It is a matter of great pride for the 75th Bn Central Reserve Police Force that on the occasion of this Independence Day, Shri Narender Yadav, Second-in-Command presently posted in 75th Bn, awarded 03 PMG (Police Medal for Gallantry). Shri Pandey congratulated the medal winners officers and Jawans and their families.
On this auspicious occasion, Pandey attended “At Home Party” at subordinate officer’s mess. In the evening a sports competition was organized in the Battalion which was enjoyed by all the personnel. “Bada Khana” was also organized for the Unit personnel.
