IIP Delhi invites BRABU VC Prof. D.C. Rai as honorary prof

Muzaffarpur/ Varanasi, Oct 25: The Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP), Delhi, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, has extended a prestigious invitation to Prof. Dinesh Chabdra Rai, a Senior Professor at the Department of Dairy Science & Food Technology, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and currently the Vice Chancellor of BRA Bihar University to accept the position of Honorary/Visiting Professor.

The invitation, which was formally issued by Prof. (Dr.) Tanweer Alam, Addl. Director & RO-IIP Delhi, highlights Dr. Rai’s distinguished expertise and invaluable experience in the field, noting that his association would contribute immensely to the Institute's academic and research ecosystem.
The IIP has ambitious goals for this collaboration, stating that Prof. Rai’s involvement will play a significant role in strengthening the branding and visibility of the institute on both national and international platforms. Furthermore, his expertise is expected to promote collaborative initiatives in packaging science and technology, provide expert guidance to current academic and research activities, and substantially enhance the crucial industry-academia interface through knowledge sharing.
Commenting on the national recognition,VC Prof. Rai conveyed his profound appreciation. "I am deeply honoured by this invitation from a prestigious national institution like the Indian Institute of Packaging," Prof. Rai said. He emphasized the critical nature of the field, noting that "Packaging science is a vital link in the food processing value chain, directly impacting food safety, sustainability, and the national economy. I look forward to contributing my expertise to IIP's mission of promoting innovation and bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and industrial application for a Better Living."
As part of the role, the distinguished professor will be invited to participate in regional committee meetings, academic discussions, deliver special or expert lectures, and contribute to strategic planning sessions for the Institute’s growth.
The academic fraternity at both BRABU and BHU along with the alumni associations, extended heartfelt congratulations to Vice Chancellor Prof. D.C. Rai on this prestigious national recognition. Notable figures who have lauded Prof. Rai's nomination includes Proctor Prof. B.S.
