Bollywood actor Imran Khan, known for films like I Hate Luv Storys, Delhi Belly, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, and Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, was spotted in Srinagar today shooting for an upcoming web series on the banks of the iconic Dal Lake.
Speaking to reporters during the shoot, Khan described Kashmir as his “second home,” saying he visits the Valley at least twice a year. “I have a lot of close friends and extended family here. For me, it has never been a place of fear,” he said.
The actor expressed happiness over the return of tourists to the Valley, urging people to live without fear. “It is very sad when people do not come because of rumours or fear. We should never act or think from fear. How can we live our lives out of fear? We cannot. I feel good that it is open here again and people are coming back,” he said.
Khan also shared his personal connection with Kashmir, recalling that his grandfather, filmmaker Nasir Hussain, had shot several films in the Valley, including Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon, Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai, and Teesri Manzil. “This place was like a second home for my grandfather. My childhood memories are connected to Kashmir, so coming here is very nostalgic for me,” he said.
Calling the weather “absolutely beautiful,” Khan added that while some people find it cold, he enjoys it. “I am proud and honoured to be here with my team, making new memories in a place that holds such deep meaning for me,” he said.
