The income tax department on Wednesday raided multiple business units of Khyber Group in Srinagar and Gulmarg.
Reliable sources said income tax sleuths and police raided the residential house of Abdul Rouf Tramboo, the son of Ghulam Ahmad at Gogji-Bagh here. Tramboo is the owner of Khyber Group. The searches related to income tax are going on.
Another IT team led by the Deputy Director IT raided the office of Rouf Tramboo at Hazuri Bagh near Dhar Pharmacy. Similarly, a third team raided the Khyber Himalayan Resort (hotel) at Gulmarg. All entry and exit points were sealed during the raid.
An official also confirmed that the raids had been going on since the morning and added that details of it would be shared after the search is concluded.
