An Inter Zonal District Level Judo and Fencing Competition for Under-14 and Under-17 Girls was successfully conducted today at the Indoor Sports Stadium, Samba.
The event saw spirited participation from all five zones of District Samba, showcasing the enthusiasm and talent of budding athletes in the region.
Organized under the Annual Calendar issued by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, J&K, the competition provided a dynamic platform to young sportswomen to exhibit their prowess in the disciplines of Judo and Fencing.
The event was held under the kind control of DYSSO Samba, Dharamvir and the overall supervision of ZPEO Samba. A total of 75 players took part in the event, with 52 participating in Fencing and 23 in Judo.
The competition not only promoted sportsmanship and fitness but also encouraged young girls to pursue excellence in sports at higher levels.
