
The Inter-zonal district level Kabaddi competition for All Age Groups (AAG) Boys kick-started with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship today at the Indoor Stadium Khawaja Bagh, Baramulla.
The mega event is being organized by the Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), district Baramulla.
The event was formally inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Baramulla, Altaf Hussain Musavi, who graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The opening ceremony witnessed a spectacular March Past by the participating athletes, followed by the National Anthem and the traditional Sports Pledge, taken by the players and officials alike — symbolizing unity, integrity, and commitment to fair play.
On the first day of the competition, Under-14 and Under-17 Boys' categories were contested with full fervor. A total of 36 teams from 18 zones of the district are participating in this thrilling Kabaddi competition, showcasing the sporting talent and discipline nurtured at the grassroots level.
In a significant step towards digital empowerment and administrative facilitation, 18 portable Mic systems were also distributed to all 18 Zonal offices of the department during the event.
