The Muslims living across the world are considered nonviolent people from the stereotype act since 11 September 2001. media also had made a wrong image of the Muslims across the world as if violence has become a symbolic image of Islam as if Islam is the religion of conflict and war, but as per history is considered Isla has shown strong resistance to the violence as other religions do, there are thousands of examples of this in history were Muslims tolerance towards other faces are considered.
The Cordoba cultural legacy(in Spanish Andalusia) is still considered a remarkable example of non-violence and is considered a role model for many societies and was seen in action during rivalry in India with Mughals and later by Muslims who collaborated with Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi in the Indian independence movement.
The word Islam is itself in meaning called peace but the world does not see it like that Gandhi has stated many times that he had read Quran more than one time also he claimed he has written many books on Islam and prophet Gandhi as per history claimed that he has read a popular book USVAE SAHABA and told that Islam never said anywhere to disturb the peace and not to indulge in the matters of other religions Gandhi also claimed he has a strong respect and faith for the Islam he said while reading the Quran he never saw anything that also he claimed that there is no compulsion in Islam as per the Quran is considered. Gandhi also claimed that Islam if properly followed and practiced can prosper in the world so easily. Gandhi said that during the times of Haroon Rashid and mammon Islam was considered at its peak but their teachers were against liberalism created problems and still Muslims in the world are suffering due to that problem.
Gandhi was lucky to have his colleagues from the Islamic background like the khan Abdul Gaffer khan, and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and by luck Gandhi was familiar with Islam as well they were considered non-violent men but the fact is that Gandhi said non-violence has no space as per Islam is considered.
According to Gandhi's satyagraha which implements us of peace and non-violence if a person says about peace and non-violence there should be equality between his thoughts and deeds it should never differ also Islam believes in the same Islam believes that a person believing in god and his prevailing power must be honest in his life The holy Quran shows us this the right way by saying this in sura Al AHZAAB. The other similarities between Islam and the doctrine of mahatma Gandhi are that every human is a creature of god for Gandhi's belief in non-violence is depended on the assumption that human nature in its essence is one and there unfailingly responds to the advances of love like this in his thought a non-violent resister rests on the unfailing assistance of god which sustains him throughout his difficulties that could otherwise be considered as impassible (pal 2011:15-16) this conforms to very well to Muslims notion of humanity as one and created by god it is to say Islam considers humanity to be the most honorable of all creatures equipped with consicouness and will and thus recognizes freedom of belief as an indispensable right Quran says it like this “ and surely we have honoured the children of Adham” Al Isra. so we declare all people have equal humor despite their religion caste creed color or socio-political affiliation.
Most of the verses of the Quran and Hadith emphasis peace, non-violence, equity and love they recommend solving dispute and bringing peace ending controversies and the verses quote that truthfulness and non-violence is the core of Islam. The Gandhian Ahimsa teaches us the same so it can be said there are alike similarities between ahimsa and the hadith and Quran there for making a peace full world and non-violent society is the target of Islam thus insists Gandhi same.
The ideas of Gandhi are largely compatible with Islam like teachings of Islam are sincerity, benevolence, Tavakoli, intent, corresponding to Gandhian having principles in all circumstances, having no excessive covetousness, loving all creatures, having courage in conformation with violence and having no intention to kill and damage. Thus the non-violence, killings, unfair things, allegations etc have no links with Islam as well in the Gandhian perspective.
