IUST congratulates its alumnus, Tawqeer Hussain on his nomination as Joint Secretary to the prestigious Foreign Correspondents Club. FCC represents hundreds of Journalists of foreign origin currently based in India as well as Indian Journalists working with foreign Organisations.
Tawqeer completed his master’s in journalism from Islamic University of Science and Technology, and has a vast experience of covering India and South Asia, with special focus on Foreign Affairs. He currently works as Special Correspondent - South Asia with Tokyo based World’s largest newspaper, The Yomiuri Shimbun. His articles and stories also appear in various national and international publications like The Hindu, Business Line Aljazeera, Daily Telegraph (Australia), Herald Sun, Al Arabiya, 7 News Australia, etc.
