
Terming the upcoming Lok Sabha polls as crucial for strengthening democracy and secular forces in Jammu and Kashmir, Vice President National Conference Women Wing and former MLA Mrs Bimla Luthra exhorted the cadre, especially women to gear up for the big challenge and ensure election of Congress nominees from Jammu and Udhampur parliamentary constituencies as per the decision of the leadership.
“Women have to come forward in a big way and play their role in making Mr Raman Bhalla and Mr Vikramaditya Singh victorious”, Mrs Bimla Luthra said while addressing women workers at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan.
She said the secular forces alone can steer out the State from the present morass and ensure equitable development of all, irrespective of region or religion, caste or creed.
Mrs Bimla Luthra said the politically sagacious people have to play their important role in heralding peace and strengthening the bonds of unity and brotherhood between various segments of society.
