Jammu and Kashmir: Jammu city hosts mega Miss Universe auditions 40 contestants walk on the ramp

Jammu, Aug 10 : In a significant development aimed at exploring the hidden beauty of Jammu region, a mega Miss Universe Auditions were held at Jammu city on Saturday where 40 women participated in the event of which eight were shortlisted.
The event, as per news agency—Kashmir News Corner (KNC) was held under the Theme—“The Universe Calling” evoked massive response. “We are glad to host this beautiful event in the city of temples. Jammu has a great talent and hidden beauty.
Today, it was an attempt to explore the talent and beauty of Jammu region and succeeded in that,” one of the woman hosts of the event told KNC, adding that the response was great.
“Today, we are celebrating independent women who want to achieve something in their lives,” the host said.
The prestigious Miss Universe pageant made its debut in Jammu is a landmark event that celebrates the legacy of iconic winners such as Sushmita Sen, Lara Dutta and Harnaaz Sandhu. The event was held at Vivanta Jammu.
The beautiful young women walked on the ramp for several rounds after which eight of them were shortlisted. Former Miss India 2017 Sana Dua was also present on the occasion. Fashion Icon Sahil Salathia also attend the event.
“I am from Jammu. I have studied in Jammu and my father is from Jammu,” Sahil said, adding that he was happy to be in Jammu. Bolywood actress Alankrita Sahai also attended the event stating that her grandparents have always told her stories about Jammu. In here message to the young contestants, she said” “You are gorgeous and be bold and brave.
