Harry’s gritty 46 runs of 27 balls helped Jammu sports defeat KV Teachers by 2 wickets in a thrilling T20 cricket match being played at KV 2 cricket ground, here today.
Earlier, Jammu Sports led by Jagdev Singh won the toss and opted to bowl first, KV Teachers’ skipper Samendra Rathore played a brilliant knock of 50 runs off 46 balls to guide his team to a challenging 152/7 in the stipulated 20 overs.
Nipun 32 runs off 22 balls and Manjeet 16 runs off 13 balls also chipped in.
For Jammu Sports Deepak Jamwal took 2 wickets to remain the pick of the bowlers while Anukul, Harshit, Jagdev, Kaushal and Ajay shared one wicket apiece.
In reply, Jammu Sports with the help of Harry Singh 46 runs of 27 balls and Raman 28 runs off 28 balls chased down the target with 5 balls spare. With 6 needed of the final over Kaushal Sharma hit a six over the bowler's head to hand a 2 wickets victory for his team.
Later, Harry Singh from Jammu sports was declared as Player of the Match for his match winning 46 runs.
