Jasim Mohammad, Imam-e-Hind Ilyasi discuss social harmony

New Delhi, Sep20: Prof. Jasim Mohammad, Chairman, Centre for NaMo Studies (CNMS), met Imam-e-Hind Dr. Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasi, Chief Imam of the All India Imam Organization, at Imam House, New Delhi. The two exchanged views on public service, social harmony, education, cross-cultural understanding and nation-building.

During the meeting, Prof. Jasim Mohammad presented Dr. Ilyasi with a copy of a book on Prime Minister Narendra Modi 100 episode Mann Ki Baat Edited by him. The interaction took place during the ongoing Sewa Pakhwada, observed from September 17 to October 2, with a focus on public service, health and welfare, cleanliness, environmental awareness and community participation.
Imam e Hind Dr. Imam Ilyasi emphasised the importance of dialogue and mutual understanding in strengthening civil society. The meeting also highlighted the role of cross-cultural dialogue and cooperation in promoting harmony and mutual respect among communities.
Prof. Jasim Mohammad described the interaction as warm and meaningful, saying that dialogue, education, service and community participation are important for strengthening social harmony and contributing to India's development.
Prof. Jasim Mohammad was accompanied by Jawed Iqbal Khan, social activist and Life Member of the India Islamic Cultural Centre.
The meeting concluded with a shared emphasis on continued dialogue, cooperation and constructive community engagement for a peaceful, inclusive and progressive India.
