J&K launches online access to central record room services

Financial Commissioner Revenue, Shaleen Kabra, today launched a suite of online services linked to the Central Record Room of Jammu and Kashmir, aiming to improve citizen access to key government records and enhance overall service delivery.
Integrated with the JK Revenue Portal, these digital services are designed to streamline government procedures, reduce in-person visits, and bring efficiency, transparency, and accessibility to revenue-related processes. Citizens can now access important revenue documents maintained at the Central Record Rooms in Jammu and Srinagar from the comfort of their homes.
Key benefits include reduced wait times, easy application submissions, faster responses, and significantly decreased paperwork. Citizens can avail themselves of these services by visiting jkrevenue.nic.in via desktop or mobile devices.
The Revenue Department reaffirmed its commitment to expanding digital services to meet the evolving needs of the public and ensure efficient governance.
The launch event was attended by Kanta Devi, Regional Director Survey and Land Records Jammu, and Dr. Tahir Firdous, Additional Commissioner, along with other senior officials.
