J&K U-16 crush Meghalaya in record victory

The Jammu & Kashmir Under-16 cricket team produced a spectacular performance to defeat Meghalaya by an innings and 384 runs in a dominating display at the ongoing Vijay Merchant Trophy 2025.

After posting a record overnight score of 585/7 before declaring, J&K’s batters set the foundation for an emphatic victory. The bowlers then took charge, ensuring Meghalaya struggled throughout both innings. Meghalaya managed just 75 runs in their first innings and 126 in the second, unable to withstand the relentless J&K attack.
Rajveer led the bowling onslaught with a remarkable eight wickets in the match, while Sanil captured six wickets. Skipper Smagay and Tariq Nabi played crucial roles in dismantling Meghalaya’s batting lineup, leaving the opposition with no chance of recovery.
In addition to dominant batting and bowling, J&K’s fielding was exceptional, with precise throws resulting in multiple run-outs, highlighting the team’s all-around excellence.
