
Jammu, April 4: The Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) District Centre Jammu today concluded the 3rd batch of the Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme (ESDP) at Government Industrial Training Institute Jammu held under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) initiative. A group of 30 candidates completed the programme aimed at strengthening entrepreneurial skills and promoting self-employment among the youth.
The ESDP was designed to provide participants with comprehensive inputs on entrepreneurship, business opportunity identification, preparation of business plans, market linkages, digital marketing, financial literacy and awareness about the self-employment and MSME support schemes. The programme also included interactive sessions, practical exercises and expert guidance to equip the trainees with the skills required to start and sustain their own enterprises.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal Ab. Rashid Sheikh congratulated the participants for successfully completing the training and emphasized the importance of skill-based entrepreneurship in creating employment opportunities. He encouraged the trainees to utilize the knowledge gained during the programme to establish viable ventures and contribute to local economic development.
District Nodal Officer JKEDI Rajesh Kotwal highlighted the significant role of entrepreneurship in fostering economic growth and employment generation. He urged the participants to take advantage of the handholding support, mentoring and the government schemes available through JKEDI and other institutions to translate their business ideas into successful enterprises.
The programme concluded with a valedictory session during which participants shared their experiences and appreciated JKEDI for organizing the training programme.
