
Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), District Centre Shopian, successfully concluded the Management Development Programme (MDP) Batch VI at Mother Miracle International School (MMIS), Heepora Batagund today, aimed at strengthening entrepreneurial and managerial capabilities among aspiring entrepreneurs of the district.
The programme witnessed active participation from 22 candidates, all of whom successfully completed the training. The batch comprised 19 male and 3 female participants, reflecting inclusive participation and a growing interest in entrepreneurship among the local youth.
The MDP–VI was structured to enhance participants understanding of key business and management concepts, including entrepreneurship development, business planning, financial management, marketing strategies, government schemes for entrepreneurs and essential soft skills required for running sustainable enterprises.
The sessions were delivered through interactive lectures, discussions, case studies and activity-based learning to ensure practical exposure.
On the concluding day, Nafia Nazir, Senior Manager, JKEDI, visited the venue and interacted with the participants, reviewed the training framework, and appreciated the overall conduct and outcomes of the MDP. She encouraged the trainees to convert their ideas into viable enterprises and to actively avail the benefits of various entrepreneurship promotion schemes of the Government.
During the interaction session, Sayeem Rafiq, District Nodal Officer, JKEDI Shopian, highlighted the role of JKEDI in nurturing entrepreneurship at the grassroots level and assured continued guidance, mentoring and handholding support to the trainees in their entrepreneurial journey.
The participants expressed satisfaction over the quality of training and thanked JKEDI for providing a platform to enhance their entrepreneurial and managerial skills.
The programme concluded on a positive note with renewed motivation among the trainees to pursue self-employment and contribute towards economic growth and employment generation in the district.
