
Jammu April 3: The Jammu and Kashmir Masters Games Association (JKMGA) is all set to organise the 1st Jambu Lochan T20 Cricket Tournament from April 5 to April 12, 2026, at M.A. Stadium Jammu.
A total of ten teams from Jammu and Kashmir will participate in the tournament, showcasing emerging cricketing talent from across the region. The teams include Mulan Sports Club (captain Rahul Mulan), Shine Star Warriors (captain Eshant Sharma), Rehari Kings XI (captain Rohit Gupta), Tantray Sports Club (captain Mohd Arif Tantray), Hunter Cricket Team (captain Vikas Charak), Tiger Eleven (captain Daljeet Singh), Apex Cricket Club (captain Arun Sharma), Gentle Giants (captain Vishwajeet Singh), Green Star Bhaderwah (captain Adil Gafoor Ganie), and Mavericks Cricket Club (captain Sami Ullah Malik).
Ensuring fair play and professionalism, the matches will be officiated by umpires Harsh Nagar and Deepak Gupta (Lucky), with Surinder Kumar serving as the official scorer.
The winning team will be awarded ₹1,00,000 along with a trophy, while the runners-up will receive ₹50,000 and a trophy. The “Man of the Series” will get ₹5,000, and souvenirs will be presented to all “Man of the Match” awardees and players of the winning team.
JKMGA President Ranjit Singh Chib said the tournament aims to promote grassroots cricket and provide a competitive platform for emerging players in Jammu and Kashmir. General Secretary Neete Kour assured that all arrangements, including cricket balls and refreshments, have been made, adding that umpires’ decisions will be final.
Tournament Coordinator Raman is overseeing the event. Players currently participating in Ranji Trophy or other JKCA/BCCI-recognised tournaments will not be eligible to take part.
