
Arunachal Pradesh, Jan 2026: A Joint Combat Medical Skills Training exercise was recently conducted in Arunachal Pradesh, bringing together personnel from Spear Corps and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) to enhance their lifesaving capabilities in operational scenarios. The training focused on preparing troops for both long-range and short-range patrol missions in challenging terrains.
The comprehensive programme covered essential Basic Life Support (BLS) techniques, battlefield casualty care, and rapid evacuation procedures. Troops underwent hands-on sessions simulating real-world emergencies, including injury stabilization, trauma management, and efficient coordination during casualty evacuation under difficult field conditions.
Designed to replicate high-stress operational environments, the training emphasised quick decision-making, teamwork, and medical proficiency, ensuring that personnel are well-prepared to handle medical emergencies during border operations and patrols.
