July 27, 2025 | BK News Service

The Shakti Vijay Brigade commemorated Kargil Vijay Diwas at the Azmat-e-Hind Complex, Teetwal, with great patriotic fervour, honouring the unmatched courage and supreme sacrifice of Indian soldiers during the 1999 Kargil War.
The event featured a poignant interaction with veterans, whose stories of bravery and devotion inspired youth, students, and civil society members. Their lived accounts served as a powerful reminder of the legacy of sacrifice that continues to ignite the spirit of patriotism in the present generation.
Students of AGS Teetwal and AGS Hajinar presented vibrant cultural performances, while Kargil veterans were felicitated in a moving tribute to their valour. Officials recalled how Indian soldiers, braving harsh terrain and enemy fire, reclaimed the heights of Kargil—turning Tololing, Tiger Hill, and Point 4875 into symbols of national pride.
Adding further lustre to the celebrations was the presence of tourists from the southern part of the country, who enthusiastically participated in the cultural bonanza. Their involvement underscored the enduring spirit of unity in diversity and highlighted the growing appeal of battlefield tourism in this historic border region.
The celebrations concluded with prize distribution and a reaffirmation of national unity. Located along the Kishanganga River near the LoC, the Azmat-e-Hind Complex stands as a beacon of India’s enduring legacy and the unbroken spirit of its people. The event was a living testimonial to the region’s deep-rooted bond with the armed forces and the continuing inspiration drawn from their heroism.
