Shopian was the coldest place in the Valley at minus 8.6 degrees Celsius, followed by Pulwama at minus 7.7 degrees Celsius and Sopore at minus 7.7 degrees Celsius.
Pahalgam tourist resort in south Kashmir recorded a low of minus 7.6 degrees Celsius, while Anantnag dipped to minus 7.1 degrees Celsius.
Srinagar registered a minimum temperature of minus 5.2 degrees Celsius, while the airport area recorded minus 6.0 degrees Celsius.
In the ski resort of Gulmarg, night temperature settled at minus 6.2 degrees Celsius.
In border district of Kupwara, night temperature settled at minus 5.6 degrees Celsius and Baramulla at minus 6.1 degrees Celsius.
Ladakh also continued to reel under extreme cold conditions.
Drass, often referred to as one of the coldest inhabited places in the region, recorded a low of minus 24.5 degrees Celsius.
Padum registered minus 18.3 degrees Celsius, while Hanle dipped to minus 16.3 degrees Celsius. Leh recorded a minimum of minus 13.4 degrees Celsius, while Kargil settled at minus 12.3 degrees Celsius.
The MeT has said cold conditions are likely to persist in the coming days and advised residents.
