
In a display of unity and patriotism, people from all districts of Kashmir came participated in the “Har Ghar Tiranga” rallies.
Held as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, the “Har Ghar Tiranga” rallies are aimed to encourage citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes and reaffirm their commitment to the nation.
Across all districts of Kashmir, students, youth, government officials, local residents, personnel from J&K Police and CAPFs joined hands in a Tiranga march, waving the national flag and singing patriotic songs to show their love and commitment to the nation.
At Budgam, the Tiranga Rally was held as part of the Prime Minister’s call for Har Ghar Tiranga under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. The rally, flagged-off jointly by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Budgam, Nikhil Borkar, commenced from the Sports Stadium Budgam amidst the echoes of Jai Hind reverberating across the town.
The vibrant procession passed through prominent locations including District Hospital and District Court Road before culminating at Behisht-e-Zehra Park.
At Ganderbal, the district administration under Deputy Commissioner Jatin Kishore organised the Mega Tiranga Rally, starting from the lawns of the Mini Secretariat and culminating at Qamaria Ground. SSP Ganderbal, Khalil Ahmad Poswal, along with ADDC, ADC, students, and civil society members participated with full enthusiasm, raising slogans of national pride.
At Pulwama, a rally was led by DC Dr. Basharat Qayoom and SSP P.D. Nitya, witnessing overwhelming public participation including families of martyrs. The rally featured a bike march, a giant national flag display, and cultural performances. Participants also took the Viksit Bharat pledge, and stalls showcasing local and SHG-made products were set up as part of a Tiranga Mela.
Kupwara town too witnessed a Mega Tiranga Rally under the leadership of DC Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, culminating at the Martyr Memorial Regipora where tributes were paid to freedom fighters.
Kulgam’s Tiranga Rally, led by DC Athar Aamir Khan, passed through various parts of the town, with spirited participation from officers, students, traders, and residents, creating an atmosphere of unity ahead of Independence Day.
Shopian district hosted one of its largest ever Tiranga rallies with over 10,000 participants, followed by a patriotic concert at Aglar featuring local artists. MLA Shabir Ahmad Kullay and DC Shishir Gupta were among the dignitaries present.
In Bandipora’s Gurez Valley, the Sub-Divisional Administration under SDM Gurez organised multiple Tiranga rallies, alongside cultural and creative activities including painting competitions, engaging students and showcasing local talent.
