Kashmir’s Sadia Tariq win laurels for India

Social media including twitter handle was abuzz on Saturday with messages praising Srinagar’s star kid Wushu player Sadia Tariq for her winning the gold medal in Moscow “Wushu Star Championship '' held in Russia.
Many high profile dignitaries of Jammu and Kashmir have sent congratulation messages to Sadia Tariq for the gold medal win on Twitter handle and facebook. His coach Kuldeep Handoo was also praised for the role he played
“Sadia Tariq makes us proud by winning Gold in Moscow “Wushu Stars Championship” in Russia. The success will inspire many of our budding sportspersons” a tweet by a leading dignitary of Kashmir reads.
As the people had kept their eyes on the Ukraine War and were discussing developments, they continued to send greetings to the Star kid for her achievement on social media facebook.
Admiring messages were often pouring on different sites of social media throughout the day for the star kid for her talent and success.
The two times gold medalist in the junior national Wushu championship from Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar Sadia Tariq represents India in Moscow “Wushu Stars championship” is underway from February 22 to February 28 in Moscow, Russia.
Advisor to Lieutenant Governor and Vice President Sports Council Farooq Khan also greeted the star sensation Wushu player for winning the gold medal in
“We are proud of Sadia Tariq for bringing laurels for the country at the International arena by winning the gold medal in Moscow “Wushu Stars Championship,” Khan said.
Sadia Tariq who is likely to participate in the forthcoming Youth Asian Games slated to be held in the month of December in China was shortlisted by the Wushu Association of India, a technical committee for the Moscow Stars Wushu championship recently.
She is the only Wushu player from Jammu and Kashmir who was part of 38 contingents of players which include 23 junior and 15 senior wushu players from across India participate in Moscow.
The star sensation Sadia hails from Central Kashmir’s district Srinagar's Housing Colony Bemina area and is currently studying in 10th Standard in Presentation Convent School, Rajbagh Srinagar.
She has recently secured Gold medal in the 20th Junior National Wushu Championship held at Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar, in which the J&K Wushu team stood third in the overall medal tally.
The Moscow Wushu Stars championship is the approved event in the Annual Calendar Training and Competition (ACTC) of the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in which India’s junior and Senior India team is participating.
