Kho-Kho tournament concluded in Shopian

Shopian, Mar 25: J&K Police under the aegis of the Civic Action Programme (CAP), organised a Kho-Kho tournament at Keller, Shopian. The tournament, which commenced on March 16, 2026, concluded today with an impressive and colourful closing ceremony.

The final match was played between Government Higher Secondary School Keller and Government Middle School Keller, in which Government Higher Secondary School Keller emerged as the winner after a spirited contest. During the closing ceremony, Addl. SP Shopian, Sh. Rameez Rashid Bhat -JKPS, distributed cash prizes and trophies among the winners and runners-up. He appreciated the efforts and sportsmanship of all participating teams for making the tournament a grand success. The event witnessed a large gathering of students and teaching staff of the schools.
Addressing the participants, the Addl. SP Shopian assured continued support from J&K Police and reiterated their commitment to organising more such inclusive sporting events in the future, aimed at promoting confidence, youth engagement and social integration within the community.
