The University of Kashmir on Friday announced the schedule for winter vacation for its teaching departments across the main campus and off site campuses.

According to an official notice issued by the Office of the Dean Academic Affairs, the winter break will be observed with effect from January 10 and will continue until February 22.
The decision applies to all teaching departments of the University located both at the main campus in Srinagar and at various off site campuses.
During this period, regular teaching activities will remain suspended in view of the winter vacation.
However, the University has clarified that administrative functioning will continue as per routine. Heads, Directors and Coordinators of departments, off site campuses and centres have been directed to ensure that their respective offices remain functional during the vacation period.
The notice further emphasizes that examinations, if any, along with other scheduled academic or administrative activities, shall be conducted strictly according to the already notified schedules.
