Jammu, Feb 12: The 50th Board meeting of the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB), chaired by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, approved a Laser and Sound Show dedicated to Baba Barfani in Srinagar and Jammu.

The Board announced that the Pratham Pooja for the 2026 Yatra will be held on June 29, coinciding with Jyeshtha Purnimaa. Accidental insurance cover for registered yatris, service providers, seasonal workers, and pujaris has been doubled from ₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh.
Other decisions included installation of toilet facilities, shelter sheds, safety railings, telecommunication upgrades, disaster preparedness, and enhancement of medical and volunteer services along Baltal and Pahalgam routes. BRO reported significant progress in widening and maintaining Yatra tracks.
