The Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday greeted the people on the eve of Vijayadashami.
In a message, the Lieutenant Governor has said," On the joyous occasion of Vijayadashami, I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to all for their happiness, well-being and prosperity.”
“Vijayadashami symbolises the victory of good over evil and that of righteousness over unrighteousness. May this sacred festival inspire us to work for unity, peace and progress of the country and strengthen our spirit of harmony, brotherhood and oneness,” he said.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, the festival symbolizing the triumph of good over evil.
The CM said Dussehra inspires people to uphold the values of truth, righteousness and justice under all circumstances.
He observed that the festival conveys a timeless message of moral courage and harmony, which remains vital for building a better society.
Omar wished the people of Jammu and Kashmir joy, peace and renewed spirit on the occasion.
