
After a thorough security review and discussion in UHQ meeting, the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday announced reopening of 12 tourist destinations across Jammu Kashmir, which were temporarily closed as precautionary measures after April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in which 25 tourists and a local ponywala were killed.
Of these tourist spots and religious places, seven are in Kashmir and five in Jammu region.
In Kashmir, seven tourist destinations including Aru Valley, Rafting Point Yanner, Akkad Park, Padshahi Park Bijbehara, Dara Shikoh Garden in Anantnag, Kaman Post and Eco-Park Khadniyar in Baramulla would be reopened on September 29.
Dagan Top in Ramban, Dhaggar in Kathua, Chinkah in Reasi, Shiv Cave in Salal, Reasi, and Padri in Doda in Jammu region would also be reopened for visitors on September 29.
