Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha today met the Children With Special Needs (CWSN) of Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu, at Raj Bhawan.
The Lieutenant Governor congratulated the talented students on their remarkable performance in sports disciplines like Volleyball and Badminton, at the Special Olympics Bharat’s National Unified Sports Meet held at IIT Gandhinagar, Gujarat. He said their inspiring journey and extraordinary skills exemplify their determination, perseverance, teamwork, and the true spirit of inclusion on the national platform.
He also underscored the crucial role of inclusive education, acknowledging the transformative power of sports in fostering confident and capable individuals.
During their visit to Raj Bhawan, the students—Jasjeet, Mannan, Mridul, Anand, Uttman, Varaspreet, Praful, and Sparsh Sharma—were accompanied by: Ms. Rohini Aima, Principal-cum-Vice Chairperson, Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu; S. Harpreet Singh Anand, Chairperson; Ms. Avneet Kaur Budhraja, Vice Principal; and the school's special educators: Ms. Bhawna, Ms. Komal, Ms. Ujjwal, and Ms. Ambica.
Sh. Faqir Chand Bhagat, Chairman, Shiromani Sant Kabir Bhawan, called on Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha, today. He requested for declaring Sant Kabir Das Ji Jayanti as Gazetted holiday in the Union Territory.
Subsequently, a delegation of Bharatiya Jain Sangathan, J&K led by its President Shri Sandeep Jain also called on the Lieutenant Governor.
