Lt Gen Abhijit inaugurates Sainik complex in Manipur

Churachandpur, Manipur, Dec 21: Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar, GOC Spear Corps, inaugurated the Integrated Sainik Complex at Churachandpur, underlining the Corps’ steadfast commitment to the welfare and dignity of Ex-Servicemen (ESM) and their families.

The newly established facility is designed to serve as a one-stop centre for veterans, providing administrative support, social engagement spaces, and welfare services. It aims to ensure that retired personnel and their families receive seamless assistance and remain closely connected with the Indian Army community.
During the inauguration, Lt Gen Pendharkar felicitated several veterans, acknowledging their service and sacrifices. He also engaged directly with members of the ESM community, listening to their concerns and highlighting initiatives aimed at improving their quality of life.
The event showcased Spear Corps’ ongoing focus on fostering strong ties with veterans while promoting a sense of pride, camaraderie, and belonging among the ESM community. Such initiatives reflect the Corps’ holistic approach, balancing operational readiness with social responsibility and support for its own personnel.
The Integrated Sainik Complex is expected to become a landmark institution in Churachandpur, serving as a hub for veteran welfare, interaction, and community engagement, reinforcing the enduring bond between the Indian Army and its retired personnel.
