Lieutenant General Harsha Gupta on Saturday assumed the charge of General Officer Commanding (GOC) of White Knight Corps commonly known as "16 Corps" based at Nagrota here on city outskirts.
He has replaced Lt Gen Paramjit Singh.
An official Twitter handle of White Knight Corps said, "Lt Gen Harsha Gupta assumed command of elite @WhiteKnightCorps from Lt Gen Paramjit Singh Sangha, on 12 Oct 19".
He exhorted all ranks to continue to strive for excellence and to be combat ready to thwart nefarious designs of enemy & inimical forces, it read.
Let Gen Paramjit Singh has proceeded for his next assignment as DGMO.
