In a significant morale-boosting gesture, Lieutenant General Mukesh Chadha, AVSM, SM, VSM, Director General of Supplies and Transport (DGST) of the Indian Army and Senior Colonel Commandant of the Army Service Corps (ASC), undertook a forward area tour of vital logistical installations and units under the aegis of Spear Corps.
During his visit, Lt Gen Chadha reviewed the logistical preparedness and operational efficiency of the ASC units stationed in some of the Army’s most challenging terrains. He was briefed on ongoing logistics operations, innovations adopted to maintain supply chains in difficult conditions, and the readiness of troops to support front-line formations under all circumstances.
Impressed by the high morale and professionalism of the troops deployed in the forward areas, the General Officer lauded their commitment and tireless efforts in ensuring seamless support to combat formations. He emphasized the critical role played by the Army Service Corps in sustaining operational momentum, particularly in forward zones where terrain and weather pose constant challenges.
Addressing the soldiers, Lt Gen Chadha said, “Your unwavering dedication and resilience in tough conditions is the backbone of the Indian Army’s operational capability. Your service in the shadows keeps the frontline strong, and the nation deeply appreciates your sacrifice and hard work.”
