Itanagar/ Aizawl, Feb 20: Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding of the Spear Corps, along with all ranks, extended warm greetings to the people of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram on the occasion of their 40th Statehood Day.

In his message, Lt Gen Pendharkar lauded the achievements of both states over the past four decades, emphasizing their progress in socio-economic development, education, infrastructure, and cultural preservation. He highlighted the strong spirit of unity and resilience demonstrated by the people of the northeastern states.
The GOC reaffirmed the Indian Army’s commitment to supporting the region through initiatives in development, disaster response, and community engagement under Operation Sadbhavana and other outreach programs. He also stressed the vital role of cooperation between local communities and security forces in maintaining peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
“The 40th Statehood Day is not just a milestone in political history but a celebration of the rich heritage, diversity, and aspirations of the people of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram. On behalf of Spear Corps, I convey our best wishes for continued growth, peace, and harmony,” he said.
