Nagaland, Jan 7: Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding of Spear Corps, along with all ranks of the Corps, extended heartfelt greetings to the people of the Mao tribe of Nagaland on the occasion of the Chiithuni festival.

The GOC conveyed wishes for peace, prosperity, and happiness at the start of the new year, emphasizing the importance of unity, tradition, and cultural heritage in strengthening community bonds. The greetings reflect the Indian Army’s commitment to fostering goodwill and harmonious relations with local communities in the region.
Chiithuni, celebrated with vibrant rituals and communal festivities, marks an important cultural milestone for the Mao tribe.
