Lt Gen Pendharkar reviews operational readiness of AR in Silchar

Lieutenant General Abhijit S Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Spear Corps, recently visited the Assam Rifles formation stationed in Silchar, Assam, to assess their operational preparedness. During his visit, Lt Gen Pendharkar conducted a comprehensive review of the troops’ readiness and capabilities amid evolving security challenges in the region.
The Corps Commander engaged closely with the personnel, appreciating their professionalism, discipline, and high morale that contribute significantly to maintaining peace and security in the sensitive border areas. He emphasized the importance of operational excellence and continuous vigilance in the face of emerging threats.
In addition to interacting with the serving soldiers, Lt Gen Pendharkar also met with Ex-Servicemen residing in the area. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude for their past services and acknowledged their ongoing contributions towards nation-building and community welfare.
