Khonsa, Oct 25: Lieutenant General Abhijit S. Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of #SpearCorps, visited Khonsa in Tirap District on 24 October 2025 to review the operational readiness of the newly raised #BhairavBattalion.

During his visit, Lt Gen Pendharkar assessed the battalion’s training, logistics, and deployment preparedness, ensuring that the troops are fully equipped to respond to emerging security challenges in the sensitive border region. He interacted with officers and soldiers, commending their discipline, dedication, and professionalism.
The GOC also highlighted the critical role of Assam Rifles in maintaining security and stability in the region, urging all personnel to uphold high standards of vigilance and operational excellence. He emphasized that continuous training, situational awareness, and seamless coordination among units are key to safeguarding the strategic interests of the nation.
The visit underscores the Army’s commitment to strengthening border security, enhancing troop readiness, and supporting regional stability in Arunachal Pradesh.
