Maj Gen Bhambhu calls on Gov VK Singh

Manipur, Jan 7: Maj Gen Suresh Kumar Bhambhu, YSM, SM, Inspector General of Assam Rifles (East), paid a courtesy call on Governor General (Dr) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd), at Lok Bhavan today.

During the meeting, Maj Gen Bhambhu briefed the Governor General on the operational preparedness, ongoing initiatives, and community engagement programs of the Assam Rifles in the eastern sector. The discussion also highlighted efforts to strengthen border security, promote civic welfare, and enhance coordination with local administrative authorities.
Governor Singh appreciated the role of Assam Rifles in maintaining peace and stability, as well as their commitment to humanitarian and development initiatives in the region. He commended the force for its proactive approach in addressing both security challenges and the welfare needs of the local population.
The meeting reinforced the importance of continued collaboration between the armed forces and civilian administration to ensure effective governance, public safety, and social development in sensitive areas.
