Mokokchung, Sep 27: Major General H S Mavi, Inspector General Assam Rifles (North), visited Dessoi Post, Longtho, Mokokchung, on September 25 and reviewed the operational preparedness, deployment, administration and welfare of troops.

During the visit, Maj Gen Mavi was briefed on the prevailing security situation, operational deployment, intelligence inputs and coordination mechanisms with the civil administration.
The review focused on the readiness of troops and the effectiveness of existing arrangements for maintaining security and responding to emerging requirements in the area. The IG also took stock of administrative matters and welfare measures for personnel deployed at the post.
Maj Gen Mavi emphasised the need for continued vigilance, discipline and professionalism in the discharge of duties. He stressed the importance of effective area domination and maintaining a high level of operational preparedness.
He also underscored the significance of sustained engagement with local communities, noting that regular interaction with residents and close coordination with civil authorities contribute to effective security management and stronger community relations.
The IG further called upon all ranks to maintain high standards of commitment and dedication while carrying out their responsibilities in the challenging operational environment.
Maj Gen Mavi appreciated the dedication, professionalism and commitment displayed by the troops and encouraged them to continue performing their duties with the same resolve.
